Patch Area Teams to Compete This Morning & Later Today

Brusca/Strobach track meet at Ladue: water polo tournament at Burroughs and more on tap today.

The weather is promising and the local teams will be in competition this morning and later today.

Here's what's going on today:

Track & Field

Nearly 1,000 athletes will descend upon the Ladue Horton Watkins campus to compete in the annual Brusca/Strobach track meet. All eyes will be on Burroughs sprinter Ezekiel Elliott as he challenges records in the sprints and hurdle events.

Boys lacrosse

(10-3) CBC will be at Ladue on the West Ladue campus at noon. The Rams are 12-2 this season.This will be a real challenge for the home team Rams.

At 2 p.m. O'Fallon, Illinois visits MICDS.

Girls soccer

Ladue (10-3) goes to Ritenour (4-5) for an 11 a.m. match. Ladue will be short handed with 7-8 players traveling over the weekend. Ladue will contend with Ritenour's midfielder Nikki Baker who has 4 goals, 5 assists for 13 points.

St. Joseph's Academy, top-ranked team in the area with an 8-1 record plays host to Blue Valley West of Kansas City at 12:30 today.

Boys water polo

The John Burroughs tournament concludes today.

The host Bombers meet Fort Zumwalt West at 10 a.m. then close out the day at 3 p.m. playing Parkway South.

At 7 p.m., St. Louis U. High (4-2) will be at MICDS (4-3).
