Oak Hill Teacher Appointed to LEGO Advisory Panel
Mary Meadows was selected from more than 600 educators.
Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School kindergarten teacher Mary Meadows is one of the newest members of the LEGO Education Advisory Panel. She was selected from more than 600 educators who applied from around the country. The panel collaborates with LEGO to develop classroom solutions and curriculum that elevate science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts and 21st-century learning skills.
Mrs. Meadows explains, “My organization and style of teaching involves many center-based activities that provide opportunities for students to collaborate and learn through exploration. The students in my kindergarten classroom work in one center area per day and move through the various cross-curricular centers throughout the week… Engaging the students in project-based experiences that inspire creativity, collaboration, and communication while developing critical thinking and problem solving skills is my passion.”
Mrs. Meadows is also the coach for Oak Hill’s First Lego League robotics team.
