No State Title for St. Joe Soccer This Year

Lee's Summit North blanks Angels 3-0 in semifinal game in Kansas City.

The St. Joe Angels have been relegated to the third-place game in the state soccer championships on the Blue Spring South field today. The Angels meet Springfield Glendale in the third-place game at noon today.

The title game will be contested between Lee's Summit North (24-3) against Cor Jesu Academy (22-2). That game will start at 6 p.m.

In the Angels' game, it was 0-0 at halftime, with neither team showing an advantage. In the second half attacker Allie Stevensen scored twice including a goal on a penalty kick.

The Angels tumbled to 15-7-1 with the loss to Lee's Summit North. Cor Jesu got by Springfield Glendale 1-0 in the other semifinal game.
