No Hitter: 2nd of the Spring for Ladue

James Dunger, sophomore fired a no-hitter in a 10-0 win over Whitfield.

According to St.L Today, the Ladue Rams are the 4th ranked team in the area. Coach Rob Garrett would tell you that's pretty lofty stuff.

The win over Whitfield was a no hitter, but a tick short of a perfect game. One base runner reached and was quickly picked off by the starting pitcher James Dunger.

But the Rams are 5-0 this season and off and running in the 2013 campaign. Lex Kaplan went 2 for 3 at the plate and drove in four runs in the route of the visiting Warriors.

"St. Charles West will be a tough opponent. They have struggled a little early, but they have played strong competition and will come ready to play.

We have not yet found our consistency at the at the plate and we look to do that this week. We play five games this week, so we need a lot of arms and will count on all our players to perform," said Garrett.

The Saturday game with MICDS will be fun. "MICDS is a well coached team and we have a history of close games with them," said Garrett.
