Nineteen MICDS Seniors Recognized by National Merit Scholarship Program

Nine additional received letters of commendation.

Information was provided by the Communications Department at MICDS.

Nineteen members of the MICDS Class of 2013 have earned recognition by the National Merit Scholarship Program. Ten students were named as National Merit semifinalists, and nine additional students received letters of commendation.

The nationwide pool of semifinalists represents approximately one percent of high school seniors across the United States. They were the highest scoring entrants based upon results of the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Qualifying test taken last year as high school juniors. These students will now have the opportunity to compete for National Merit Scholarships that will be awarded next spring.

These are MICDS semifinalists: Amos Bartelsmeyer, Alexis Bollis, Diana DiGasbarro, Benjamin Gunning, Akili Hall, Girija Hariprasad, Hayley Landman, George Reynolds, William Van Cleve and Kevin Williamson.
