MVP Week 6: Time to Send In Those Nominations

Volleyball, tennis, field hockey players getting attention.

This is Week No. 6, and time to nominate the MVP “Athlete of the Week” from either MICDS, John Burroughs, Villa Duchesne, Ladue or St. Joseph’s Academy.

Christian Bledsoe, Burroughs football. Nominated by his coach Gus Frerotte, this senior star had 16 solo tackles, 4 assists in a commanding 33-7 win over Westminster. The defense held the Wildcats scoreless in the game.

Adehkeem Brown, Ladue running back: He caught two TD passes and ran for a third as Ladue trampled Affton, 52-13 Friday night.

Elisa Marker, Villa Duchesne cross country. One of the rising running stars, she ran a 1916.10 at the Big River Running Festival in Forest Park Sept. 8.

Taylor Revling, St. Joe tennis. A top star on a team with a perfect 11-0 dual meet record.

Erika Ingles, Ladue volleyball. She has 78 kills and 104 assists on a team with a vastly improved 12-3-0 record.

Kevin Steinhouse, John Burroughs swimming. He is one of the top swimmers in the area in the 50 and 100 free style events and swims on the 200 freestyle relay, the fastest foursome in the area.

Feel free to nominate your favorite athlete. The ballot appears Wednesday morning and voting runs through Thursday at 5 p.m.
