Sauer: Our season is going great. We have such a great group of girls this year and we really connect as a team and work really well together.

Everyone has been working so hard this season and it is really paying off.

Patch: What do you like most playing for the Angels.

Sauer: My favorite thing about being on this team is that we all get along great.  We have connected more as a team on and off the field since the beginning of the season.  Everyone is so supportive and encouraging towards each other.

We lift each other up and challenge each other so we can all improve.  I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for my team. One of our best accomplishments this season is how well we did in Chicago.  We had great passing and communication on the field.  We have been working on finishing and taking quick shots and those were two things we did very well in Chicago despite the weather.

Patch: Currently, what is in your I-Pods these days.

Sauer: My favorite song on my I-Pod right now is Summer Jam by Jake Owen.

Nominations will be in order for Week 6 starting Monday. Any athlete in the Ladue-Frontenac-Olivette Patch may be nominated for this honor.
