MICDS' William Morehead Commits to Providence College for Lacrosse

Local stars at CBC, Parkway West also make verbal commitments.

William Morehead, a senior at MICDS has verbally committed to Providence College (Rhode Island) to play lacrosse. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound St. Louis midfielder attended Jake Reed's Nike Blue Chip and Hotbeds with MO22, where he was an all-star.

He has led MICDS to back-to-back state title games, earning first team All-State and All-Metro honors as a junior. Morehead strongly considered Hobart and Bowdoin colleges.

Zach Turnure, defenseman from CBC has verbally committed to the Ohio State University. The 6-1, 205-pound defenseman was a member of MO22 this past summer. He also was a standout as a linebacker and was first team All-League in both football and lacrosse.

Jon Vogel, attacker from Parkway West has verbally committed to Holy Cross College (Massachusetts). The 6-foot-2 attackman attended Peak 200 and Hotbeds, where he was an all-star.

Vogel was an All-Conference selection while leading Parkway West to the state semifinals. He strongly considered Lafayette and Tufts universities.
