The MICDS field hockey team has some gaps to fill. Graduated seniors include Eleanor Condie who had 22 goals, 15 assists for 59 points and Molly Scott who scored 12 goals, 10 assists for 39 points.
The team compiled an 11-14-2 record last year. Still Coach Lynn Mittler has high hopes for her team.
Although she saw 10 seniors graduate, she has a deep lineup of newcomers to take those places.
At this point of the pre-season, Mittler doesn’t want to name any names. She feels like all the positions are wide open at this point.
The Rams will open the season with the Gateway Classic with all the powerhouse teams around town. Later on, the team heads to Louisville for some key matches.
