Patch: What do you like most about being on this team?

Maria: My favorite thing about being on this team is the way we feel like a family, we are all from different friend groups and background but once we get to soccer it feels like I'm playing with my sisters, not to mention the good chemistry helps us play better.

Patch: How has your season gone?

Maria: This year has been a great season for us. So far we are 16-3, we have made history in Ladue girls soccer by beating the goals scored record, the shutout record, and we are a game away from games win record. Also if we keep up or hard work we may beat the goals allowed record.

Patch: Which athlete do you admire the most?

Maria: The athlete I must look up to is Mia Hamm. I remember being four and seeing her score in a world cup game in Chicago and that has been the spark to my fire. She is so passionate about soccer and she has demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and class.

Patch: What is your favorite tune in your I-Pod:

Maria: On my I-pod it depends what mood I'm in so if i want to be pumped up I am usually listening to the most recent top 20 on the charts but if i want to chill I really like Florence & the Machine
