Maddie Stock Named Gatorade Player of the Year for Missouri

Senior guard richly deserves this coveted award.

Editor's update: Maddie Stock, senior guard from St. Joseph’s Academy was just named Missouri’s Gatorade All American Player of the Year.

Maddie and  her twin sister, Morgan led St. Joe to  25-5 season. Both guards have already signed to play at the University of Missouri next fall.

Stock was named the Ladue-Frontenac Female Athlete of the Winter in 2011.

Stock maintains an A average in the classroom and is a three-time Class 5 first team All State selection. She has been named three times to the first team All Metro by the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

Stock averaged 17.8 points per game and picked up 5 steals per game. One of her top performances was a triple-double versus Cor Jesu Academy with 13 points; 12 steals and 10 assists.

The biggest challenge for St. Joe coach Julie Matheny is finding replacement for these veteran starters.
