Ladue High Broadcast Student Receives National Recognition

Only student from the state of Missouri to be recognized.

C-SPAN recently announced the 75 winning videos in the 2013 StudentCam competition, and Ladue High School senior Samantha Shanker was recognized with an Honorable Mention for her documentary, “On Education.”

A record-setting 1,893 films were received in this year’s C-SPAN competition. A total of 3,753 students representing 44 states, as well as Washington DC, and Taiwan, took part in the competition.  Shanker was the only student from the Missouri to be recognized as a finalist.
