It was bronze in the 800 meter junior championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Ladue graduate and middle distance sensation Samantha Levin continues to burn up the tracks across America this summer. Both Levin and her teammate Montenae Roy-Speight will be freshmen at LSU next month.

That performance ranks Levin as the No. 5 best high school 800 meter runner in the nation. She won the 800 meter title at the 36th annual Great Southwest Track & Field Classic at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and teamed with Roy-Speight and Kendra White in winning the 4 X 400 meter relay in the final.

Levin led Ladue to three straight Class 4 state titles in the 4 X 400 meter relay from 2009-11 and anchored Ladue's mile relay team which set a state record of 3:48.00 in her final event of her high school career.
