Ladue Schools Announces Two New Assistant Superintendents

It's official. The appointments of Laura Brock and Ken Rossics as assistant superintendents has been approved by the Ladue Schools Board of Education.

Ladue Schools released details of the appointments in the following news release.

The Ladue Schools Board of Education has recently approved the appointments of two new Assistant Superintendents:

  • Dr. Laura Brock has been appointed Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction and comes to the Ladue School District from the Francis Howell School District in St. Charles, Missouri, where she serves as Director of Adult Learning, Program Evaluation, and Gifted Programs.  Dr. Brock will begin serving the Ladue School District on July 1, 2013, taking the position being vacated by Dr. Donna Jahnke who will be the district’s next superintendent. 
  • Ken Rossics has been appointed Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and is currently serving in this same position in Northwest R-1 School District in High Ridge, Missouri.  Rossics will also begin serving the Ladue School District on July 1, 2013, taking the Human Resources responsibilities currently being provided by Acting Superintendent Dr. Judy Sclair who will be retiring.

“We are very fortunate to be welcoming these two talented people to our administrative team,” states Dr. Donna Jahnke, who will take over as superintendent on July 1, 2013.  “Both Ken and Laura will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to their respective departments.  I look forward to working with them and to the contributions they will make to our district, our staff and our students.”

“We still have a few more appointments to make to complete the hiring processes for the 2013-14 school year,” explains Acting Superintendent Dr. Judy Sclair, who also has responsibilities for Human Resources.  “However, these are two key positions and the searches were extensive, thorough and took quite a bit of time.  I am confident the remaining positions will be filled and the process will be complete in the next few weeks.”  Fiscal calendars and employee contracts for school districts in Missouri begin on July 1 and end on June 30.
