Ladue Raises Dollars for Scholars
Parents, teachers and other supporters of Ladue students gather for a Mardi Gras-themed event.
On a dreary Saturday night, about 100 people gathered for the Ladue Dollars for Scholars Mardi Gras Event at The Gallery at ISC Surfaces in Olivette.
The March 5Â event included raffles, a silent auction, cocktails and appetizers. Event co-chairs Diane Patershuk and Sherrie Hodgins organized the night's festivities, along with the "Ladue Krewe" - the team of volunteers who assisted them.
The event was a fundraiser for the Ladue Scholarship Fund, and the money raised will go to deserving 2011 seniors at (as chosen by teachers there).

As guests entered the gallery, they were greeted by a large, inflatable Mardi Gras court jester and the music of The Peter Schlamb Group. At the check-in desk, they received Mardi Gras beads from members of the Ladue Krewe.
The silent auction items, which included everything from Ladue student artwork to large gift baskets and an Orlando vacation, were located at the center of the gallery. Tables were set up and decorated with Mardi Gras items such as beads and masks for attendees to enjoy appetizers, cocktails and conversation.
