Ladue, MICDS Perform Well at State Cross Country Championships

Ladue and MICDS put on strong performances at the state cross country championships in Jefferson City.

Amos Bartelsmeyer, a junior finished fourth in Class 3 and the running Rams finished third with 113 points. Bartelsmeyer ran the three-mile race in 16.48.94. Festus’ Matt White ran to the title in 16.05.71. Bartelsmeyer will return next year as one of the favories to win it all. Kirk Smith of John Burroughs was fifth in 17.01.64

Warrensburg won the Class 3 title with a low of 72 points, Festus was second with 96.

Cody Medler of Ladue covered the course in 17.32.06. Ladue boys finished with sixth with 179 points.

On the girls side, Ladue wound up third with 134 points. The title went to Kearney with 53 and Farmington with 101.

Anna Nelson of Ladue finished 16th with a time of 10.17.86. Klasey Medelberg of MICDS was 19th at 20.23.22.
