JBS Advances to Girls' Lacrosse Final
John Burroughs School Girls Lacrosse to Meet Ursuline in Midwest Lacrosse Final Saturday.
A close game up to the final minutes, John Burroughs School Bombers pulled off the win over the St Joseph Academy Angels, 10-6 Thursday night at Lindenwood University.
After scoring in succession each taking their turn, the game was tied at the half, 4-4. Ball control and possession was very even with both teams showing discipline on both offense and defense.
First goal of the second half was quick, after a couple of minutes of play at 23:22 by Charlotte Martin of JBS to break the deadlock.

St Joe came back soon after at 20:06 with Katie Carl scoring to Tie it at 5-5. These first few minutes of the second half signified that the game would continue to be a close battle
It was St Joe next with a goal by Amanda Hoffmeyer at 16:62 to regain the lead. It turned out to be the last goal for St Joe’s season.

From that point on it was all JBS with two more goals by Leeanne Hurster at 13:54 and at 6:43, two more goals by Charlotte Martin, at 6:43 and at 3:39, and one more goal by Stephanie Kelly at 6:08.
St Joe drew two yellow cards in the past four minutes showing their frustration.
Final Score 10-6, JBS. The Bombers take on Ursuline Academy in the finals at 1:30 p.m. at Lindenwood today.
