Girls District Soccer Games Begin Play This Weekend

Hosts for area teams Kirkwood, Westminster Christian Academy and John Burroughs.

Girls district soccer play begins this weekend with teams vying for a spot in the Final 4 in Kansas City later this month.

The Class 2 District 5 at Westminster Christian Academy

On Saturday (May 12) host Westminster, No. 4 seed with an 8-7 record takes on Clayton (7-6) at noon. Monday Visitation Academy, No. 1 seed (12-5-0) faces the winner of the Saturday game at 3:45 p.m. and at 5:45 p.m. No. 2 Villa Duchesne (11-3-2) takes on No. 3 seed MICDS (15-6-0) at 5:45 p.m.

The championship game at Westminster is set for 4;30 p.m. on Wednesday May 16.

Class 3, District 2 at Kirkwood

First round quarterfinals are Saturday May 12: At 10 a.m. No. 3 seed St. Joseph’s Academy (9-6-1) meets Ladue, No. 6 seed (13-9-1) at 10 a.m.

Webster Groves the No. 4 seed (17-6-0) takes on Ursuline Academy, No. 5 seed (4-9-0) at noon.

The semifinals resume Tuesday, May 15.

Kirkwood, the No. 2 seed (16-4-0) meets the winner of St. Joe/Ladue at 4:30 p.m.

No. 1 seed Nerinx Hall (13-2-3) faces the winner of Webster/Ursuline at 6;30 p.m.

Class 1, District 4 at John Burroughs

This district runs Wednesday May 16 to Friday, May 18.

In the opener, John Burroughs (4-7) takes on Maplewood (2-21) at 4:30 p.m.on Wednesday May 16. The winner faces Brentwood (17-9) on Friday, May 18 at 4:30 p.m.
