FOX Sports Midwest Announces Revolutionary High School Sports Programming: "FOX Sports Prep Zone"

Four high school football games will be streamed live Fridays on FOXSportsMidwest.com

FOX Sports Midwest is giving high school football fans a new way to follow the sport with the launch of FOX Sports Prep Zone. Each Friday starting Sept. 30, some of the biggest high school football games in Missouri will be streamed live on FOXSportsMidwest.com. Fans can watch four games simultaneously on one screen, or click the one game they want to watch to see it in full screen. Fans will have access to a library of instant highlight clips that can be shared with friends and family via Facebook and Twitter.

 On TV, a weekly 30-minute preview and highlights show titled FOX Sports Prep Zone will air Wednesdays on FOX Sports Midwest starting Sept. 28. Portions of each show will be taped at one of the schools playing a game being streamed that week.

Online: Every Friday starting Sept. 30, FOXSportsMidwest.com will simultaneously stream four high school football games from Missouri (with occasional games from the St. Louis Metro East area of Illinois).

On TV: A weekly TV show titled FOX Sports Prep Zone will show highlights of the previous week’s big games and preview the week ahead. It premieres each Wednesday.

  • FOX Sports Prep Zone will continue with live streams of high school basketball.
  • The FOX Sports Prep Zone TV show and live streamed games will also air on FOX Sports Kansas City and FOXSportsKansasCity.com.
  • FOX Sports Prep Zone live streams and coverage of MSHSAA events are part of a partnership with When We Were Young Productions.

  •  Fans can watch four games simultaneously on one screen, or click one game and view it full screen via new internet technology powered by CTV.
  • FOX Sports Prep Zone games will be archived and accessible for one week after live play, giving a chance for fans who attended to game to later view the webcast.
  • Game coverage includes multiple camera positions, announcers, replays and graphics.
  •  Games will be selected roughly two weeks in advance. The opening week schedule for Sept. 30 features three of the top five teams in Missouri Class 5, one of the top-ranked players in the nation and a matchup from the St. Louis Metro East:
  • No. 4 Kirkwood at No. 5 Parkway  Central (the St. Louis Rams Game of the Week)
  • O’Fallon at East St. Louis (match-up of Illinois teams; O’Fallon is No. 3 in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch large school rankings)
  • Hillcrest at Waynesville (Hillcrest features WR Dorial Green-Beckham, the nation’s No. 2 recruiting prospect according to Scout.com)
  • Class 5 No. 1 Staley at Grandview

Highlights and Social media

  • Fans will have access to a library of instant highlight clips powered by Snappy TV.
  •  Clips can be shared virally with family and friends via Facebook and Twitter within seconds.

On TV

  • The FOX Sports Prep Zone TV show will air Wednesdays at 6 and 10 p.m. CT and will be replayed on Thursdays and Fridays.
  • Portions of each show will be taped at one of the schools playing.
