Hometown diplomat to speak at UMSL

John Carleton has certainly had an adventurous career since graduating from John Burroughs School.

He joined the Foreign Service in 2010. His first assignment was as a financial management officer in the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan. Before that, his work took him to Kazakhstan, France, Vietnam and Jamaica.

Carleton will talk about his experiences working abroad, careers in the Foreign Service and the work of the U.S. Department of State at 2 p.m. March 15 in room 331 Social Sciences & Business Building at the University of Missouri–St. Louis.
