Erin Nelson: The season is going very well and flying by. We have improved a lot since the beginning of the year. This past month, we have really come together and picked it up in practices to prepare ourselves for a successful rest of the season.

Erin: My favorite part is definitely the girls and coaches. We are all very close and there is not a practice that goes by without jokes or laughter.

Patch: What are some of the main accomplishments for the Angels this season?

Erin: Beating Blue Springs in the Visitation Tournament, who has been second numerous times in state tournament the past few years.

Patch: Which athletes do you admire the most, and why?

Erin: Definitely Kelsey Luna and Mackenzie Stirmlinger, former St. Joe basketball players because watching them when I was in grade school influenced me to go to St. Joe and play basketball and to continue to play in college.

Patch: What is your favorite tune in your I-Pod these days?

Erin: Right now, that would have to be "Thrift Shop."
