Dinner with Olympic Swim Star-Cancer Survivor

MICDS holds dinner to recognize Cancer survivor Eric Shanteau

Over the weekend of Sept. 23, MICDS will host Springfield Kickapoo, Springfield Glendale, and Lindbergh High School in  four-way swim meet. Prior to the action in the pool, the Rams host a dinner on Friday night in the MICDS dining hall to honor the 2008 Olympian Eric Shanteau.

Shanteau was able to delay testicular cancer surgery to participate in the Olympic games. He was a 200 meter breast stroke champion. These days, he is spending his time advocating for Cancer awareness in young adults.

Tickets are $30 and all proceeds benefit the local Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Space is limited to the first 150 who make reservations.
