Burroughs Tennis Opens With 6-1 Win over Ladue

Michael Peters and Matt Wong set the pace for the youthful Bombers.

The Burroughs tennis team got off on the right foot, defeating visiting Ladue 6-1 in a dual to open the season. Bombers coach Matt Waite said the Rams put up a good fight. "It was much closer than the score indicates," said Waite.

Michael Peters and Matt Wong won No. 1 and No. 2 singles respectively. Peters, a sophomore defeated Ladue freshman Ben Cobin.

Seniors Nick Guo and Charlie Van Doren playing No. 1 singles won their match. The Bombers hit the road for a match with Whitfield Thursday.
