Burroughs Finishes 17-0 Season With Lacrosse Championship Over Rival MICDS

Extensive coverage Monday with photos; video and interviews with players and winning coach.

Saturday was a moment of glory for the John Burroughs lacrosse team. The Bombers finished a perfect 17-0 season with a resounding 15-5 win over rival MICDS for the successful defense of the Missouri State Lacrosse Association title.

The game was an awesome display of pyrotechnics as junior Leeanne Hurster went on a seven-goal scoring binge and Northwestern-bound senior Charlotte Martin added four more to the cause.

Burroughs coach Megan O’Mally was relieved to get it over with. “I was nervous the entire game. MICDS has a really good team, and I just knew they could come back on us.”

The Rams couldn’t mount a good counter attack on a 91 degree day on the synthetic turf at Harlan Hunter Stadium at Lindenwood University.

Monday, the Ladue-Frontenac Patch will return with extensive coverage including all kinds of photos; video, interviews with players and coach.
