Bonsack Gallery to feature work of Susan Zimmerman

Display features "Light from the Window," a collection of photographs and related ceramic vessels.

Information was provided by the communications department at John Burroughs School.

“Light from the Window,” a collection of photographs and related ceramic vessels by Susan Zimmerman, will be on display in the Bonsack Gallery from October 26 through November 27.

In this new and ongoing body of work, Zimmerman explores the relationship between two contrasting media, drawing inspiration from a series of free-form, hand-built vessels — both smoked-fired and porcelain white. She uses photography to capture the interplay between clay and sunlight filtered through the windows of her home.
