Villa Students Win Chemistry Battle of the Burets

Villa Duchesne Team Places First in effort to first name normality of chemistry solutions.

Villa Duchesne seniors Rachel Arnold and Mary Hogan teamed up to place first in the Battle of the Burets. The contest challenges teams of high school chemistry students to determine within six minutes the normality of an unknown acid solution. Speed and accuracy are critical to win this annual event sponsored by the St. Louis section of the American Chemical Society. Villa Duchesne competed against twenty other high school teams from the region for the first place trophy.
