"Athlete of the Week" Selections Ready to Go

All athletes, male and female are eligible for this weekly recognition in the Ladue-Frontenac Patch.

Voting will begin soon for the Ladue-Frontenac Patch “Athlete of the Week.” It is our honor to bestow recognition to the male or female athlete who has the top performance of the week.

This includes any sport going on during the fall season.

This is your chance to both nominate and vote on the “Athlete of the Week.”

Here’s how it works:

On Monday, Patch will suggest a half-dozen or more athletes who should be considered top performers the past few days. At the same time, we are calling for your nominations. You are encouraged to nominate any athlete you want.

On Wednesdays, Patch will present the ballot. The ballot will be comprised of four or five athletes who were nominated the most from Monday and Tuesday.

Voting begins Wednesday morning and concludes Thursday at 5 p.m. No votes will be counted after that time.

Over the weekend, the “Athlete of the Week” with photo will be featured.

This is a recognition program, driven by you the fans and parents. This not a list composed by coaches or Patch employees. Rather, we want your suggestions.

If you have a favorite, then encourage your family, friends, everyone in your school community to get on board and vote for the athlete of your choice. It’s that easy.

“Athlete of the Week” will commence just after the fall sports season begins and will continue each week until all state championships in October and November are decided.
