Area Swimmers Back in the Local Pools

Swimmers looking to qualify for state meet the third week in February.

On February 17 and 18 the girls swim teams will battle for supremacy in the annual state championships at the RecPlex in St. Peters.

The holidays are over and the pools are crowded with competitors trying to lower times and to get into that meet.

This is a busy first week back from the holiday break.

Today, Cor Jesu will splash against John Burroughs in the Bombers’ pool at 4 p.m. On Thursday, Villa Duchesne visits MICDS for a 4:15 p.m. showdown.

Friday, Burroughs will swim at Westminster at 4 o’clock while University City will be guests at Ladue starting at 4:15 p.m. On Monday, St. Joseph’s Academy meets Visitation Academy at Chaminade at 4:15 p.m.
