Godwin Lane - One of our Favorite Neighborhoods

Godwin Lane in Ladue saw a significant amount of movement with homes sales in the last year, including for example, our listing at #45.  One of our favorite neighborhoods in Ladue, Godwin presents a classic New England style, but with a twist that is hard to label.  Home on the lane consist mostly of 1.5 and 2 story colonials white siding and brick.  The homes are mostly 65-75 years-old, are an average of 3,400 sq ft, and sit on large lots.  Although some are concerned by the neighborhood’s proximity to HWY 64, there is another residential road and a sound wall that provide buffers.  Thus, most of the homes are not impacted by highway noise.  In fact, access to the highway is actually a benefit for homeowners and their commutes.  170, for example is just one exit to the East, putting long-haul commuters at Lambert Field in 15 minutes. 

The past year has been a strong period of opportunity for this neighborhood.  There have been many years in the past where there have been little or no homes available for purchase.
