Enemies of Healthy, Youthful Looking Skin

Most people do not realize that 90 percent of  signs of aging of our skin is from the environment and only 10 percent is from genetics.  Check out these environmental enemies of health skin.  some you can control and some you can not.

#1 is.... the Sun. The ultraviolet light rays induce skin-aging inflammation and generate free radicals, which make the sun the biggest threat to skin's collagen, not to mention the fact that UV exposure puts you at increased risk for developing skin cancer and sun spots.

Solution - protect skin with combo of avoidance at peak hours and vigilant sunscreen-application.   Protect your skin with safe, healthy spf sun protection products every time you walk out the door and reapply several times during your time in the sun.

#2 is.... Smoking. Smoking breaks down collagen, one of the most crititcal structural proteins in your skin. The result is premature aging in the form of lines, wrinkles, and loss of skin firmness. It also decreases bloodflow to the skin, which leaves the complexion sallow.
