“So many people are asking for vegan-friendly dishes these days,” said Butler’s Pantry’s President, Richard Nix, Jr. “We’ve always offered alternatives like gluten-free meals, and vegetarian plates. Now we have added vegan-friendly options to our repertoire. From hors d’oeuvres to dessert, we now serve a variety of delicious vegan-friendly selections.”

Butler’s Pantry’s new Chef de Cuisine, Chuck Friedhoff, recently created two new vegan dishes to add to Butler’s Pantry’s catering menu: crispy mofu tofu with fresh ginger, pickled vegetables, fresh chilies and cilantro, as well as his first course, the fall knockout, a  local butternut bisque with layered pears, shaved apples, pea shoots and house-made Labneh with pomegranate honey. Butler’s Pantry has added these items to their extensive catering menu and guests can request these at Palladium Saint Louis events, as well.

Palladium Saint Louis is Butler’s Pantry’s premiere event venue. Sous Chef Chad Vanderleest recently created a number of new vegan and vegetarian dishes. Guests can choose from grilled cauliflower steak with olive tapenade and red quinoa; roasted vegetable Napoleon with sweet peppers; smoked paprika hummus; and arugula with asparagus and zucchini…just to name a few.

Piccione Pastry, St. Louis’ newest Italian Pastry shop operated by Butler’s Pantry, also launched a line of vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free treats. Piccione’s Executive Pastry Chef Martin Lopez is constantly developing new dessert recipes to keep up with the demand. The pastry shop, which specializes in single-serve Italian treats, is currently offering gluten-free cannolis in six flavors and hazelnut torte. Additionally, the shop serves gluten-free and vegan tiramisu and coconut macaroons.

Bixby’s, located on the second floor of the Missouri History Museum, recently launched its new fall menu which includes an array of vegan and vegetarian items. Created by Chef’s Callaghan Carter and Erik Larson, the menu includes  pickled veggie kale salad, heirloom tomato bisque, deviled eggs, pumpkin hummus, vegetable flatbread, veggie panini, and a roasted root vegetable tart.
