Sidewalk Construction Project at Hunter Avenue Means Delayed Traffic During September

Ladue Road will be narrowed to one lane while a new crosswalk is being built.

Currently, a two-mile long, 10-foot wide concrete pedestrian/bicycle trail construction project is underway in the City of Ladue. This project is known as the Centennial Greenway, connecting trails from University City all the way to Creve Coeur Park.

The project is located east of I-170 from Shaw Park to Olive Boulevard.

The project includes construction of a new stamped, colored and concrete crosswalk located on Ladue Road, 800 feet east of I-170. This is the area of Ladue Road at Hunter Avenue due east of the Schnucks Ladue Crossing Center.

During daylight hours, there will be road closures during the month of September on Ladue Road to allow for construction of the concrete crosswalk. One half of Ladue Road will be closed at a time. Both eastbound and westbound lanes of Ladue Road will remain open although there will only be one lane in each direction versus the normal two lanes on each side.
