See The Progress on Sidewalk Construction Project Through Ladue

This project is expected to affect traffic on Ladue Road just east of I-170. Here are pictures of what contractors have been up to so far.

We told you a few weeks ago about just east of I-170. That's because contractors plan to construct a crosswalk linking a massive sidewalk project on either side of Ladue.

The crosswalk is in the area of Ladue Road at Hunter Avenue just east of the Schnucks Ladue Crossing Center.

The sidewalk project is part of the Great Rivers Greenway project and includes construction of a new stamped, colored and concrete crosswalk located on Ladue Road.

Patch took a walk around the area to get pictures of construction progress on the walkway. We also reached out to the contractor for more information; we'll update you when we hear more.

We didn't see any signs of lane closures on Ladue Road just yet. But project organizers have said that during daylight hours, there will be closures in September because of the construction of the concrete crosswalk.

One half of Ladue Road was to be closed at a time. Both eastbound and westbound lanes of Ladue Road will remain open although there will only be one lane in each direction versus the normal two lanes on each side.
