Reliance Bank Interested in Northwest Corner of Lindbergh and Clayton Roads

Frontenac has a six month hold on development while reviewing long range plans.

At last, development may be coming to the Northwest corner of Lindbergh and Clayton Road in Frontenac. Note the caveat, may be.

A Patch reader put out the alert that Reliance Bank is putting up signs at that location,

Frontenac’s City Administrator Bob Shelton urges caution.”Our Planning & Zoning Board has a moratorium on development for six months until we can review our long-range planning (documents) and our council has agreed to that. The council will take up long range planning at its August meeting.

Plans call for some kind of indoor garage to be added to this development,” said Shelton.”

Kurt Lord of Lord Partners no longer owns that piece of property. But, he is acting as a real estate broker on behalf of interested parties.

“Frontenac has hired PGAV Planners to do a study of that property. When that study is complete, the might be included to move more quickly.

“That property is the entrance to their city and they are being very careful,” said Lord.

Presently, there simply is not enough parking at that location. “We calculate parking for about 8,000 square feet and the building is 24,000 square feet.”

One of Reliance’s proposals is to build a parking deck in the rear to accommodate more cars.

Patch will keep an eye and see if development is really coming to this corner any time soon.
