Public Hearing for Cell Tower Permit at Sisters of Mercy Property in Frontenac

Some residents have shown concerns about radiation signals from cell towers.

The residents of Frontenac will have one final chance to weigh in on the cellular tower conditional use permit for the Sisters of Mercy property at 2039 N. Geyer Rd. The Board of Alderman will have a public hearing on that subject tonight at 7 p.m.

Later during the meeting, the aldermen will vote on Bill No. 2012-1715 dealing with this issue.

At the same meeting, Frontenac residents will be able to meet their new alderman, Mike Schoedel who will be sworn in along with returning alderpersons Margot Martin and Tom Hizar. The election results will be certified at this meeting.

Also, tonight the board will review Sugo's/Via Vino restaurant's request for a conditional permit to instll additional outdoor seating and to install an awning at their property at 10419-27 Clayton Rd.
