Nancy Spewak: The Next Mayor of Ladue

The other candidate, Ed Hempstead, Jr. withdrew from the race.

When voters go to the polls in Ladue April 2, there will be just one name on the ballot for mayor. That would be veteran council woman Nancy Spewak.

Ed Hempstead, Jr. an insurance executive had filed for office and recently withdrew his name from the race.

Spewak will replace Anthony "Tony" Bommarito who decided to step down as mayor after serving one term. Bommarito previously served 10 years as a member of the city council.

Spewak is looking forward to working with residents and hearing their thoughs and opinions.

Spewak will sit down and talk to Patch in February about her hopes and plans for the city once she takes office.
