In just one week, the City of Olivette will host its family-friendly, community celebration “Olivette on the Go” Sept. 30 through Oct. 2 in the beautiful Stacy Park on the corner of Olive Boulevard and North Warson Road – just in time for fall and cooler weather.

This year the festival brings six live music performances to the main stage. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, stretch out on the grass and enjoy a variety of music from multiple genres. The Steve Ewing Band (formerly of The Urge) opens the festival’s music line-up at 7 p.m. Sept.30, bringing an attractive mix of R&B and rock, with hits like “Jump Right In” that have been featured on MTV and modern-rock radio.

The live music picks up again at 5 p.m. Oct. 1 with the smooth rhythm of blues featuring the Soulard Blues Band, followed by Johnny Rawls and finally closing the night with Billy Peek. Performances on the final day of the festival begin with the easy-listening rock of Troy Clark opening at 6 p.m. Oct. 2 on the main stage.

The festival ends with a featured performance at 7:15 p.m. by the Little River Band sponsored by Oldies 103.3 KLOU on the main stage. Originating in Australia in 1975, the Little River Band made music chart success in America between 1976 and 1983 with classic rock hits “It’s a Long Way There,” Help is On Its Way” and “Reminiscing.” The current lineup comes to Olivette bringing new energy to these classic hits.
