Home Invasion: Open Letter from the Ladue Police Chief

Saturday evening, October 13, around 10:00 pm the Overland Police Department began a vehicle pursuit of a known burglar.

Their pursuit terminated on Price Road with the suspect jumping out of the car near Ames Place. Ladue, Olivette, University City, Clayton, and Overland police departments were searching the area Saturday night.

Sunday afternoon around 4 pm, the Olivette Police Department received a call of a subject matching the description in a house in Olivette. Olivette along with surrounding police agencies assisted in searching for the suspect using the St Louis Canine Unit at the time.

The suspect was not located on Sunday afternoon. Also, during this time, information was circulating that the suspect was armed. There was no evidence or justifications to believe he was armed.

The suspect is a white male, 48 years of age, white shirt with dark sleeves, and blue jeans. No crimes were committed in Ladue as a result of this suspect being on the loose.
