At Least 12 Dead at Batman Movie Debut in Colorado

Mass murder in a public place brings the discussion front and center.

The news is just breaking. A gunman stormed into a movie theater in Aurora, CO, and murdered at least 12 and injured many more.

How much of the carnage in public places can we put up with? This just happened 10 miles away from where the mass murders occurred in Columbine, CO. Could this happen in our own hometown communities?

"All modern police departments such as ours in Frontenac prepare continually for active shooter situations such as the tragedy that occurred in Colorado last night," said Chief Tom Becker.
