Man Steals Two Designer Purses Valued at $3,400, Police Say
Frontenac Police said Leonard stole two Louis Vuitton purses from the same shop on consecutive days.
A man stole designer purses on consecutive days from the Louis Vuitton shop in Plaza Frontenac, police said. The two Louis Vuitton purses were valued at $1,700 each.
Corey Leonard, 42, of the 10000 block of Grosvenor Drive in Riverview, was charged Wednesday with two counts of felony theft.
Frontenac Police said Leonard stole a Louis Vuitton IDYL purse at about 5:43 p.m. March 16 from the shop at 55 Plaza Frontenac. He got into a black pickup truck that was waiting for him outside the store, police said.

He also had stolen a Louis Vuitton Cabas Rosebery purse March 15 in the same manner.
During the second theft, an employee obtained a license plate number from the truck. Police went to the registered address and found another vehicle licensed to Leonard.

Employees identified Leonard in a photo lineup as the man who had stolen the purses.
Leonard also was charged June 6 with stealing as a third offense in Kirkwood. The charge applies to those with three stealing-related offenses within 10 years.
Bail was set at $10,000 for Leonard in the Frontenac thefts.
