Ladue Public Safety Officers Rescue a Heart Attack Victim

Quick action on July 21 saves the life of an attorney on Colonial Lane.

On July 21, five Ladue firemen/paramedics and a police officer rescued a victim on Colonial Lane who was in full cardiac arrest by the time they arrived upon the scene.

Daniel Buescher, an attorney was in a life threatening situation at 10:03 a.m. that morning. The EMS, fire and police personnel found the patient pulseless and not breathing. The paramedics were able to perform CPR and used a defibrillator to restore a perfusing heart rhythm and pulse. and he was beginning to breathe on his own upon arrival at an area hospital and has since made a full recovery.

The City of Ladue Council honored the five firefighter/paramedics at a recent meeting. They are: Firefighter/Paramedic Ryan Nadler, Lieutenant John Amenn, Firefighter/Paramedic Tom Marischen, Captain Jim Boyd,Firefighter/Paramedic Larry Pfaff and Police Sergeant Gregg Stork.

All of the officers were presented plaques of commendation by Anthony Bommarito, mayor of the City of Ladue. Stork was unable to attend the meeting.
