ID Theft, Suspicious Phone Calls Investigated by Ladue Police

Ladue police report in once instance, a homeowner received a harassing phone call from someone who claimed to be from the a state office asking for information.

The following information was provided by the Ladue Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

August 9:

At 2:07 p.m., police responded to Magnolia Drive for a delayed stealing report. An undetermined amount of jewelry stolen. This case is under investigation.

August 10:

At 9:46 a.m., police received a fraud report from Pointer Lane. A resident reported his credit card number had been used.

August 11:

At 6:40 a.m., police receive a call from the 10000 block of Fieldcrest Lane for ID theft. The resident said his/her identity had been stolen but did not have a suspect.              

August 12:

At 2:55 p.m., police received a call from the 9900 block of Holliston Court for ID theft. The homeowner reported his/her identity had been used and the case is under investigation.

August 15:

At 5:09 p.m., police received a report of harassment from the 30 block of Dunleith Drive. The homeowner received a telephone call from someone who purported to be from the State Investigator’s Office. The caller refused to answer questions by the homeowner and hung up. This incident is under investigation.

August 16:

At 7:14 a.m.,  police received a report of stealing under $500. Officers responded to a shoplifter in custody then arrested a 30-year-old woman for shoplifting.
