Frontenac Police Investigating Death at Home of August Busch IV

Adrienne Martin's obituary in Springfield, Mo. newspaper mentions Busch.

A newspaper obituary for Adrienne N. Martin, who died Dec. 19 at the Huntleigh home of August Busch IV, calls Busch "the love of her life." The obituary appeared in Martin's hometown newspaper, the Springfield News-Leader.

The Frontenac Police Department is continuing its probe into the 27-year-old's death.  

Martin was pronounced dead at 1:26 p.m. last Sunday at the home the former president of Anheuser-Busch. The house is located  behind locked gates in the 2800 block of South Lindbergh. The first release of the 911 call was by e-mail on Thursday.

Operator: Emergency 911.
Caller: Yeah, we need an ambulance at 2032 South Lindbergh.
Operator: OK, is that a residence or a business?
Caller: Residence.
Operator: OK, what's the problem?
Caller: Ahh, uhh, she the girls just not waking up. We can't get her to...
Operator: (interrupting) is she, is she breathing?
Caller: Yeah, we don't know. It's dark back there. I'm going to get a light and try and see.
Operator: OK, all right. I'll get them going right away.
Caller: OK, thanks.
Operator: All right, thanks. Bye-bye.

Also Thursday, Frontenac Chief of Police Tom Becker issued the following statement:

"At about 1:15 p.m. the Frontenac Police Department received a 911 call for an unresponsive person in the 2800 block of South Lindbergh."

Frontenac Fire Paramedics responded with police officers and the 27-year-old female was found deceased at the residence, with no signs of trauma or medications of cause of death. Toxicology and other tests can take upwards of four to six weeks before he final cause of death is finalized.

It is not known of Busch IV was at the residence at the time of death. All inquiries are being forwarded to local defense attorney Art Margulis.

Busch and Martin had been dating for about one year. She formerly lived in a townhouse in New Town in St. Charles.

Martin was divorced sometime this year from Dr. Kevin J. Martin who is now practicing medicine in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The pair shared custory of an eight-year-old son and the doctor now has full custody of the child.

The News-Leader obituary states: "A Celebration of Adrienne's Life will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 2 p.m. at South Haven Baptist Church in Springfield, Mo." 

Frontenac police will continue investigating the incident in cooperation with the St. Louis County Medical Examiner.
