Home Made Explosives Found in Ladue Mailboxes

Ladue police received two calls with similar reports of residents finding small explosive devices. One of the devices exploded, according to investigators.

The following information was provided by the Ladue Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

August 15:

At 8:01 a.m., police received a suspicious activity call from the 9800 block of Litzsinger Road. It was a delayed report of a resident finding a small "improvised incendiary device" placed in mail box during the previous evening. It reportedly exploded and damaged mail. Police are still investigating.

At 10:21 a.m., police received a suspicious activity call from Lindworth Lane whre a homeowner found a small "improvised incendiary device" inside the mail box. Police are still investigating.
