Busch Legal Matters Still Very Much Unsettled

Adrienne's Mother Seeks to Join Busch Wrongful-Death Lawsuit.

The mother of deceased Adrienne Martin, girlfriend to former Anheuser Busch executive August A. Busch IV is seeking to to join the existing wrongful-death suit with an agreement already of $1.5 million. This update was reported Sunday in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Martin's mother, Christine Trampler of Ozark, Mo filed a motion Wednesday to intervene on behalf of Martin's surviving son, 8-year-old Blake Martin of Cape Girardeau, Mo. His father, who has full custody of the boy settled with Busch for the specified amount, though the settlement still needs court approval. The case is in the Cape Girardeau County Circuit Court.

Martin's estranged father, George "Larry" Eby of Springfield, Mo has previously filed a similar motion.

Martin's death on Dec. 19 at the estate of Busch was ruled accidental, and without further testimony from Busch, that case is closed.

An autopsy determined that death was caused by a drug overdose of the painkiller oxycodone, though the coroners report that Martin was an alleged heavy cocaine user.
