Burroughs Graduate Dead at Age 29 in New York City

Carlisle Brigham died of an apparent fall in an apartment complex on the Lower East Side.

Carlisle Brigham, 29, graduate of died from an apparent fall at an apartment building in New York City. Authorities found her at the bottom of a steep marble staircase in an apartment building on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Witnesses told the New York Post police performed CPR but she died at an area hospital. She was reported to be visiting a friend at the time.

Brigham is the daughter of James Brigham Jr., chairman of Warson Capital partners, and Holly Voss Brigham of St. Louis.

She attended Mary Washington University in Fredericksburg, Va., studying art and art history. She was reported to have lived in New York, Chicago, Tokyo and New York again. Last year she married Anthony Champalimaud, a real estate executive for an Asian hotel group. He was out of the country at the time of her death as reported by the New York Times.

She played lacrosse and sang in the school’s choir, was a very good student and active in many events at Burroughs. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
