St. Louis County Library Celebrates Children's Book Week

St. Louis County Library will host a number of author events and programs in conjunction with Children's Library Week, May 7-13.

Established in 1919 and sponsored by the Children’s Book Council, Children’s Book Week is the longest-running literacy initiative in the country. Each year, the joy of reading is feted for a full week with author and illustrator appearances, parties, and other book-related events at schools, libraries, bookstores and homes from coast to coast!

The St. Louis County Library is honored to participate in the 2012 Children’s Book Week with the following author events:

Friday, May 4, 7:00 p.m.  Heather Brewer, Antony John, and Cole Gibsen

Join St. Louis’ most popular young adult authors for a discussion of current projects and career inspiration. Heather Brewer is the author of the bestselling Chronicles of Vladimir Tod series. Author of the hit “Five Flavors of Dumb,” Antony John's newest novel is "Thou Shalt Not Road Trip." Cole Gibsen is the author of the debut samurai warrior novel "Katana.” Co-sponsored by Pudd’nHead Books.
