Missouri Summer Weather Safety Week: June 24 - 30, 2012

Protect yourself from the summer heat and lightning from thunderstorms!

The annual Missouri Summer Weather Safety Week will be held June 24 – 30, 2012. This week is used to remind people the dangers posed by excessive heat and lightning.

This week coincides with the National Lightning Safety Awareness Week.

Information about heat and lighting safety can be found at the NWS St. Louis website. There is general information, statistics, and safety rules on how to stay safe from heat and lighting. Much of the material is also on one to two page .pdf documents. Please use this information to stay safe this summer!
