Top Workout Songs at Local Fitness Centers

High-energy cardio workouts need something upbeat and dance-worthy.

Forget Richard Simmons' Sweatin' to the Oldies, the music of choice at local fitness centers today is high energy and designed for dancing. Zumba is an exercise regimen that relies on a variety of dance moves that make the vigorous exercise more fun.

"If it's a cardio workout, you want a fast-paced, high-energy song," said Lisa Huseman, co-owner of Z Total Body.
