Southbound I-170 Ramp at Delmar to Close Monday

New bridge at Delmar and I-170 headed to homestretch. Ladue and Olivette drivers need to find alternative routes.

The Missouri Department of Transportation and its contractor, Millstone Bangert, Inc., will close the southbound I-170 ramps
at Delmar Boulevard at 5 a.m. Monday, August 1, for up to two weeks.

Crews will be replacing the existing pavement and connecting the
ramps to the new bridge during the closure.

During the closure of the southbound ramps, drivers will not be able
to access Delmar, nor will drivers on Delmar be able to access southbound I-170. Detours are marked, and drivers on I-170 can use Olive Boulevard, Price Road and Hanley Road to access Delmar Boulevard.

This work is part of a $2.1 million project to replace the Delmar
Boulevard Bridge.  Although the bridge was already scheduled for
replacement this year, MoDOT closed it April 25, after an inspection showed the bridge had become unsafe for public use. Construction has been underway since May 20.  The bridge is scheduled to reopen by September 1.

Plan ahead to avoid work zones by calling 1-888-ASK-MODOT or visiting MoDOT's website at www.modot.org/stlouis/.
